Akita Fair Held at Takanawa Gateway (Event Date: September 14–18, 2026)

As part of its regional community engagement activities, ITOCHU Corporation, one of our sponsor companies, participated as one of the supporting companies in the Akita Fair held at the cafeteria in “THE LINKPILLAR 1 SOUTH” at Takanawa Gateway, which is operated by Compass Group Japan Inc. ITOCHU supported the fair by coordinating with stakeholders in Akita Prefecture and providing other assistance. This was the first time an Akita Fair had been held at a cafeteria operated by a company other than one of our sponsor companies.
During the fair, dishes featuring ingredients from Akita Prefecture—including nanban-style horse mackerel with iburigakko tartar sauce, Inaniwa udon, Hinaijidori chicken grilled with Akita miso, and Momobuta pork loin sautéed with shiokoji—were offered as daily specials on different days of the week, allowing dinersto enjoy the flavors of Akita.
In addition, a sales exhibition of products from Akita Prefecture was held at the same facility on September 15 and attracted many visitors. By giving people who were less familiar with Akita the opportunity to see and handle the prefecture’s local specialties firsthand, the event widely showcased the appeal of Akita.
Going forward, we will continue to collaborate with our sponsor companies and contribute to expanding sales channels and promoting sales of ingredients from Akita Prefecture through the Akita Fair and other events.
