Akita Fair Held at Itochu Corporation Headquarters Employee Cafeteria

From Monday, November 10 to Friday, November 14, 2025, we hosted the “Akita Food Fair” at the employee cafeteria of ITOCHU Corporation’s head office, one of our sponsor companies, featuring ingredients produced in Akita Prefecture. On the opening day, officials from the Akita Prefectural Government visited and joined our promotional activities for the fair and Akita-themed menu items.
During the fair, we offered a variety of dishes showcasing Akita’s local specialties, including Inaniwa udon topped with fish cake made from Akita’s prefectural fish “Hatahata” (sailfin sandfish) and seaweed “Gibasa,” pho made with broth from Kazuno beef, soy sauce ramen prepared with Hinai-jidori chicken stock, and fried chicken marinated in “Ajidōraku no Sato,” a versatile seasoning widely used in Akita. These menus, which made generous use of Akita-produced ingredients, were very well received by many guests.
Orders for the fair’s menu exceeded our expectations, providing many employees with an opportunity to experience the appeal of Akita’s cuisine. Building on this event, we will continue working with our sponsor companies to support the expansion of sales channels and the promotion of Akita-produced foods through events such as the Akita Food Fair.
