The 4th Fisheries Impact Assessment Committee Held (Event Date 24 Aug 2026)On

On August 24, 2026, we held the 4th Fisheries Impact Assessment Committee at the Akita Prefectural Government Office regarding the offshore wind power project being developed off the coast of Oga City, Katagami City, and Akita City in Akita Prefecture.
The fisheries impact assessment has been conducted since April 2025 as a two-year pre-construction study to assess the project’s impacts on local fisheries.
At this committee meeting, we presented the results of the survey conducted during the previous fiscal year and explained changes to the survey plan that will be implemented during the construction period.
We will continue the survey with the cooperation of local fishers while giving the highest priority to safety.
