We Held an Outreach Lecture for Research Teams from Oga Marine High School, Oga Technical High School, and Noshiro High School on the Maximum Use of Natural Energy (Event Date: September 10, 2026)

On September 10, 2026, we held an outreach lecture at TENOHA Oga（Funakawa Port,Oga City） for independent research teams from Oga Marine High School, Oga Technical High School, and Noshiro High School.
The independent research teams from each school are conducting research on various themes, including renewable energy. On the day of the lecture, eleven  high school students participated: four from Oga Marine High School, two from Oga Technical High School, and five from Noshiro High School. In addition to providing an overview of the offshore wind power project, we explained the types of work required when constructing wind turbines at sea.
Mr. Kosei Shibuya from Shibuya Diving Industry Co., Ltd., which is responsible for  the removal of fixed fishing nets and other related work for this project, also introduced the specific work involved in offshore construction, including the technical challenges involved and the importance of gaining understanding from members of the local community.
The participating students asked a lot of questions, making the lecture an opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of careers related to renewable energy.
We will continue to actively provide information through outreach classes, local events, and other initiatives so that children who will lead the next generation, as well as members of the local community, can deepen their understanding of offshore wind power and renewable energy.
